Level 2 Field Trips
Compolsory field trips for both the Scientific Research in Geography and Social Research in Geography double modules are undertaken. Students choose to take part in only one of these trips depending on their degree programme. These trips include:
All field trips take place in the Easter holidays and last between five and eight days. Assessment for the trips involve devising a research project in small groups, with whom you will then collect the data with during the field trip, a presentation presenting your findings from the course and an individual ten page fieldwork report, which are worth 50% of the double research modules.
Additionally, shorter field trips, often day or weekend trips, occur in Level 2 dependent on individual module options undertaken.
