Caitlin: Hi, I’m Caitlin, this year's President. I love everything rivers related, whether that be studying them or rowing on them! I am looking forward to expanding the number and variety of academic and social events across the year and providing a place for fellow geographers to meet one another outside of lectures.

Helena: Hi I'm Helena, one of your social secs this year. Within geography my specific interests are on the arctic and changing shipping routes. I'm also more interested in integrated human and physical, though I am a BSc geographer! I like travelling and going out with my friends!
Rachel: Hi, I'm Rachel! Within geography my particular interests are on glacial environments and climate change. I like to play netball and rewatch game of thrones!

Mark & Emily: Hi! We're Mark and Emily, your publicity officers! After coming back from our year abroad we're excited to get back involved with geography in Durham and to make sure everyone feels welcomed! We want to make sure everyone has all the info they need to access and enjoy all the DUGS events this year.

Katie: Hi I'm Katie, one of your Vice Presidents this year. I'm really looking forward to getting started in everything dugs. Our plans include helping to increase engagement to the society through more social events. We also plan to set up a subject family scheme to help freshers settle into their courses.
Secretary
Becca: Hi I'm Becca, your DUGS secretary this year! In geography, I am most interested in GIS and modelling, and outside of geography, I enjoy both baking and netball. For DUGS this year, I plan to organise lots of talks, both around academic interests and careers options, so if you ever have a talk you want arranging, let me know. I am also hoping to expand the chance for members to give talks, whether it be on your dissertation or any geographical interests, so look out for that.

Nancy: Hi, I'm Nancy and I'm this year's treasurer! I'm interested in natural disasters and mitigation. Outside of geography, I love rock climbing, drawing and crochet. I'm hoping to keep membershipprices and ball tickets accessible for everyone and ensure the budget is well maintained throughout the year for all events.
