The Journal
Every year the society produces a journal which gets distributed to freshers during the first few weeks of the new academic year. The journal often includes various academic articles, recollections of past field trips, departmental information, dissertation ideas, "useful stuff" and this year hopefully a careers section. For 2012/13 the journal editor aims to use the journal to provide incoming Fresher's a heads-up on events, fieldtrips and talks within the department.
Additionally, every effort will be made to make the journal accessible to all DUGS members through publication online.
