In 2013, the DUGS exec introduced a new scheme, asking students what they did over their summers. This was aimed to provide students with inspiration about what they could do and to give them advice about any expeditions, work experience, or internships they were endeavouring to do themselves.
This year we had a great variety of talks, ranging from information about interning at the Met Office, and completing a cycling pilgrimage from Canterbury to Rome. The presentation slides from the event are all here for you to have a closer look at what Durham's Geography students have been up to.
We intend to repeat this event in the Epiphany term of the 2014/15 calendar so keep an eye out for further details!
